Happy New Year and Thank You
The steadfast love of the Lord never ceases, his mercies never come to an end; they are new every morning; great is your faithfulness. (Lamentations 3:22-23)
It has been raining for days in southern California- a wonderful way to welcome the new year. It is an answered prayer that gives us joy and hope.
We also want to share the joyous news that you helped us to successfully raise over $22,000 for our end-of year matching challenge. We have no adequate words to describe how deeply grateful we are to you for showing up again and again to sustain the vision and work of ReconciliAsian. Your generosity will help us start the year strong to carry out the plans to celebrate the tenth anniversary with you and the AAPI community. Thank you.
Ten years ago this month
ReconciliAsian officially launched on January 21, 2013 on Martin Luther King Jr. Day. On that drizzly Monday, about 70 people gathered on the third floor of California International University for the inaugural service of ReconciliAsian. People came as far as Georgia, Hong Kong, and South Korea to bless the launching of this small peace center with a big vision to live as ambassadors of reconciliation in our homes, churches, communities and motherland (2 Cor 5:17-21). We look back with deep gratitude to our friends and family members whose love and faith helped us to plant the seeds of peace that day.
